HOW TO BABY PROOF YOUR HOME | BABY PROOFING TIPS

Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel. In today’s video, I’m going to share with you how I made my house baby proof. Babies usually start to crawl around 7 to 8 months This is a good time to adjust your home so it’s safer before they start pulling themselves up or walk around I am just a mother and not a professional but this is what i did to make my house safer for my three boys
I swear my boys can walk into a secure room and just find that one dangerous outlet in that room and start playing with it therefore, of all the tips i give today, my most important one is: never leave your baby alone and keep an eye on him
Do you have a baby under 2.5 years old just never leave him or her alone, because you will always see them find that one dangerous thing in a room and possibly injure yourself with it. I start with some general tips and products that we like to use these little wall plugs are brilliant to have in the boys room
There is a socket very close to my son’s bed, so I take care of it that these protectants are in it We also use these corner protectors. They are transparent and I found them on amazon. You can find the link under the video I stick this on all corners at head height of my boys, and who can hurt them.
So, yes these are brilliant When your baby is the same as mine and chargers find interesting. Then make sure you always unplug them. Just like hair sliders or hair curlers. Unplug them when you no longer use them and when you have high furniture at home. Higher than that it is wide. Then fix it to the wall our mirror was detached at first, and that could only go wrong once.
So now we have secured it to the wall, and now nobody can knock it down. if you have more than 1 child, zprg for it that small toys such as shopkins are not within reach of your baby. i leave my oldest son keep his little toys in his own bedroom. they are nowhere near my youngest son. as soon as my little one started to roll over it became increasingly difficult to change his diaper.
nowadays I change it on a changing pad it is so much safer than on the chest of drawers and so he cannot roll off. One of the main products is a stair gate. Both at the top and bottom of the stairs. The stair gates we have are really nice.
I put a link below this video The great thing about these stair gates is that there is no plank under the fence that you or your children can fall over. We also have a gate in the doorway of the youngest, so he can be alone in his bedroom with his toys, when I prepare myself in the morning and I know his room is a safe place. When talking about babies in the bath, never leave them alone. I often only put a small layer of water in the bath to just above their legs
When they were small I used a bath thermometer to measure up to 37 degrees, but now that they are older, I test it with my arm. When the youngest turned 6 months old I bought this bath seat so he couldn’t fall over. And now that he is older we use an anti-slip mat in the bath.
This way he cannot slip and end up under the water. I also found this cover for the tap. I put the link under the video. You slide this over the tap The youngest ever hurt his back at the tap when he got up. This protects it now, you can of course also use a plastic can.
But they can often easily pull that off. This is a very cute solution Furthermore, with safety in the kitchen, your children will love the want to open cupboards and drawers. You can get special locks for this. But I make sure that everything that is potentially dangerous, like detergent and knives and things like that, lying high in my kitchen.
I put things in my lower cupboards where the youngest can sit safely. we made him a research cabinet with cans in it, he can take it out and roll it on the ground We have another cupboard for him with plastic cups. He is allowed to play there in complete freedom.
I really like that he has that and that not everything is locked for him To avoid burns, set your tea high. Make sure they can’t reach it Tea can burn your baby. Even up to 15 minutes after you put it. Therefore, keep it away from them When cooking with hot pans make sure to position the stems so that the baby cannot reach them.
My youngest is currently very affectionate, He also wants to be held when I cook. This can of course be dangerous because I prepare hot food. That’s why I put it in his highchair, with a few snacks to eat. This way I can safely prepare the food.
When it comes to the baby playpen, you’ve probably already heard that a lot of soft blankets can be dangerous. Babies under 2 years old do not need pillows. In my opinion, only after 2.5 to 3 years old. We put the box down as soon as the baby rolls over so that it is on the lowest setting.
That way they couldn’t roll out or pull themselves up. As soon as they could sit, we also took the mobile away, because they can also be dangerous. I was talking about putting things high in the kitchen. When you have cleaning products at home, or things like medicines
It is absolutely worth putting it up so they can’t reach it. Certainly detergent or detergent tablets, these can look like candies to kids, therefore set them as high as possible Is your baby interested in the toilet there are toilet locks for this, so that the toilet seat cannot open.
My youngest, doesn’t care about this, but when your baby is you could buy such a lock What we now have in our house and I didn’t know it existed this changed when I had my oldest child. We have cordless and top and bottom blinds. We have a remote control that opens and closes the curtains.
I love that we no longer have curtain cords. This is the end of the video, I hope you like my tips If you have any tips yourself, put them under this video Did you enjoy this video please give it a thumbs up.
